Meet the Digital Learning Team

Director of Digital Learning (James Rhatigan)

James Rhatigan is the Director of Digital Learning at Sevenoaks School, and a proud member of the Maths and TOK departments. James has worked in three leading independent schools in the UK, fulfilling both pastoral and curriculum management roles. He has a split academic background between Mathematics and Philosophy, and is beginning another Master's degree (which he is studying online of course!) in Mathematics soon. In his spare time he enjoys walking his dog Mobi (short for Mobius), and is a keen amateur astronomer and photographer.

Director of Information Systems (Sarah Williamson)

Sarah Williamson leads on digital strategy at Sevenoaks School. Heading up the school’s IT Services for 14 years, she has overseen significant change but particularly admires colleagues and students for their speed in embracing a range of education technologies so fast this term.

With experience in management consultancy, a Master's in Information Systems and a PGCE qualification, Sarah focuses on identifying and meeting the needs of the whole school community.

Head of Physics (James Tate)

James Tate is a member of the Science faculty and has established himself as the go-to person for advice on the school's technical systems.

James started dabbling with website design aged 15 and has developed a variety of systems since then. He recently took on the task of training staff to use the remote teaching packages available through a mixture of video guides, documentation and hands-on sessions.
