The U16 Sevenoaks Stravinsky Trio has been announced as 2020 Chamber Champions of the Pro Corda Festival.
Congratulations to Malek Marar (piano), Valerie Huang (violin) and James King (clarinet) for their stunning performance of Stravinsky’s Soldiers Tale.
In the past ten years, Sevenoaks School has reached the Pro Corda finals every year, received the Pro Corda trophy in 2011, the Schools’ Trophy in 2016 and the Founder’s Trophy (for the Director of Music) in 2013. We were Under 19 Chamber Champions in 2018.
The Music department has a thriving programme of classical chamber music, with over 30 chamber groups and choirs and regular concerts dedicated exclusively to its performance.
