On 11th November, the CCF held a full contingent meal which was attended by 182 cadets, 17 officers and the Guest of Honour, Professor Sir Hew Strachan. The meal was held as a formal military mess dinner and not only marked Remembrance Day, but also the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo on which subject Sir Hew, a renowned military historian, gave an address.
A thoroughly entertaining evening involved proper military mess protocol as well as mess games, fines, and some excellent food laid on by the catering staff.
