Sevenoaks students have achieved success in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge, after similar success in the first round of the International Chemistry Olympiad earlier this year.

At the end of the Summer term, over 20 Lower Sixth students took part in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. The challenge consists of a gruelling 90 minute written paper designed to stretch the most able students of Chemistry in the country.

This year’s cohort met with great success, achieving 18 coloured certificates: six copper, eight silver and four gold. Special congratulations go to Lysandre Rolland, Sarah Williams, Rhiannon Durant and Carrie Shi for their gold certificate performances which places them in the top 9% of participants nationally.
