Dr Ruth Morgan (OS 1999)

Ruth completed a DPhil in Forensic Geoscience at the University of Oxford and is currently Director of the UCL Centre for Forensic Sciences.

Her research group is focussed around the role of physical evidence in the detection of crime and works on projects concerning the interpretation of forensic evidence and intelligence. Her research is regularly presented at international conferences and has appeared in New Scientist and the popular media.

Ruth serves on a number of committees, is the Vice Chair of the London Geological Society Forensic Geoscience Group, sits on the editorial board for the journal Medicine, Science and the Law, and is a member of the Advisory Board of Inside Justice.
