
Caroline Steinbeis (OS 1998)
Caroline studied Drama & Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway University of London and did her MA at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She trained on the Director's Course at the National Theatre Studio where she is frequently on attachment.
Caroline is described as a rising director, fast becoming one of the most respected working in theatre today. Winner of the prestigious JMK Award for Outstanding Directors in 2009, her directorial credits include the National Theatre, Royal Court, Manchester Royal Exchange and Headlong. Caroline most recently directed The Broken Heart at Shakespeare's Globe. She was International Associate for the Royal Court between 2011-13.
