Academic Visitors to Sevenoaks School

Sevenoaks School was established in 1432 and is one of the UK’s leading independent and co-educational schools, all of whose Sixth Form students study for the IB Diploma. Many of our students are international, and our leavers regularly gain places at the world’s finest universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, as well as the most competitive institutions in the USA and Asia. As an IB World School since 1978, Sevenoaks is part of a global educational community. We celebrate this through maintaining links with many schools around the world, conscious that we can learn from a global body of expertise.

All academic visits to Sevenoaks School are coordinated by the Centre for Innovation. If you are a teacher or academic researcher wishing to visit Sevenoaks School, please contact us.

Teacher Exchanges

The Centre also welcomes proposals for teacher exchanges with IB Schools, including those within the United Kingdom. Preference will be given to proposals which clearly demonstrate how the exchange would benefit teaching and learning at both schools. Proposals for collaborative work on IB syllabus development, or the innovative application of ICT in teaching and learning, are especially welcome. Applications will be considered to evaluate the viability of the proposed exchange, and to determine whether a Sevenoaks teacher would be able to make a return visit to your school.

Any visits to Sevenoaks School could only be for a maximum of ten days in length and must coincide with Sevenoaks term dates. Exchange visits cannot be considered for December, March or April.
