Following on from the success of the 1XI, the U13s set off to Canterbury in high spirits and keen to do well.
They got their campaign off to a flying start with wins over Maidstone Grammar (11-0), TWGGS (3-1) and Colfe's (4-0), taking them through to the quarter-finals as pool winners.
A strong Bromley side caused a few early problems taking a 1-0 lead, but Sevenoaks regained their composure and their shape to fight back and win the game 3-1.
The stage was set for a semi-final against Junior King's Canterbury. Sevenoaks produced their best hockey of the day and were simply too strong for King's. Goals by Octavia Turner and Lizzie Holder secured victory and a place in the final.
Unfortunately, the final was one game too many for Sevenoaks. A very organised and strong Kent College side dominated the game resulting in a final score of 6-0. However, this did not reflect the effort and work rate of the Sevenoaks girls, and despite their loss they still progress to the Regionals.
Goals throughout the day from: Lizzie Holder (6), Ellie Knox (4), Mhairi Fenton (3), Hannah Harrington (3), Tavie Turner (3), Josie Hogh (2), Cathy Hogh (1).
