The Elves and the Shoemaker, written by Ben Richards and directed by both Richards and Vicky Walsh, is the classic Grimm's fairytale that we all know and love, where the poor become rich and live happily ever after. However this adaptation had a grim twist of its own - in which Ben Richards illustrated the comic evils of greed in a macabre, spiralling tale of disaster; but of course not until he had lulled the unsuspecting audience into a very false sense of festive security.
