Summer Aikido Grading Success

Benedict Durrant and Ben Hudson (Lower Sixth) both passed their 5th Kyu Aikido gradings on Saturday 23 June. They both did very well considering that they had a quite gruelling and detailed test immediately after completing an hour and a half's intensive class. Matthew Maitra (and also Huw Watts of The Judd School) did very well as ukes (formal opponents) for the grading and Muhsin Ogretme assisted Rowan Thompson as uke for the preparation class.

Ben Durrant and Ben Hudson  have been attending Saturday Aikido classes regularly this year and have worked together to develop their skills in readiness for their formal grading over the course of this term. Aikido gradings are very intense tests as students are being judged on what they can demonstrate physically with an opponent while recalling technique names in Japanese.
