PG: Snow days!

Snow, snow, snow! What else could us PG girls possibly wish for mid half term in November?  We were already building up the excitement for all the end of term activities and the Christmas holidays when a miracle came: the earliest snowfall there has been in roughly 17 years!  I think it might be Santa Claus giving us an early Christmas present. Possibly one of the best! Not only did we not have school for a few days, but the effort the teachers have made to keep us entertained and busy was incredible!

We had an inter-house indoor football tournament, where the Yr10 girls team that I played for sadly and spectacularly lost - however playing was great fun!  The boys were thrilled at the idea of playing football and they got very competitive!  We also enjoyed a girly movie night in PG, where we all got cosy under big duvets with popcorn and Krispy Kremes (kindly bought by Mrs Bassett from GIH charity sale).  The scheduled 'Big Gig' , was somehow saved and turned in to the Boarders 'Not-so-Big Gig'.  It turned out to be a fabulous concert despite some last minute changes of plan and rehearsals!

We have also had the opportunity to go to the cinema (I did and had a great time!) and there was a Quiz afternoon, but I think one of the nicest activities was on the Friday night - when we had our own PG Christmas concert.  We huddled up by the blazing fire in Mrs Bassett's where we sang Christmas songs and we could perform our own pieces.  Danny and Keira even had a chance to perform! It was a superb bonding session within the house.
