On Thursday 22 September, Sevenoaks had the first Music department concert of the academic year – a showcase for the talented singers of the school.

Among a range of excellent performances, highlights included a selection from The Magic Flute by Mozart performed by Ms Walker’s pupils. We enjoyed the contrast of an extraordinary low range from James White to stratospheric top Fs from Emily Lindsay. We also saw the return of Old Sennockian Tom Triffitt, for his last concert in which he sung a wonderful solo and duet. Later in the programme we heard the beautiful Ave Maria by Caccini performed by Yimika Awolowo with amazing breath control.

After a concert of superb solos, we finished with a sparkling Bach Aria by Francesca Vernon accompanied by Mr Gladstone on the piano and Mr Carden on the trumpet.
