Congratulations to Shyam Kalairajah who has been selected for the English chess squad. He obtained his final 'half norm' last month after beating a series of existing England squad members in the South of England Chess Championships at Yateley Manor (U14), and will be now invited to play in home and away games for England both locally and internationally. In January Shyam was also named as the third most improved player in the UK by the English Chess Federation.
