SH Valentine's Dinner 2011

School House celebrated Valentine's Day on Saturday 12th. The School House sixth form invited a guest each to join them in the House for a 3 course meal prepared by their fellow sixth formers (Harry and Sam with Sean acting as sous-chef).

The starter of mozarella, plum tomato and olives was a great success. Harry prepared the main course of herbed boneless pork chop with jewelled cous-cous and spring vegetables which was followed by home-made chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream and fruit coulis. Coffee was served with chocolates and heart Haribo sweets. Overall the food was superb and came together on the night - well done boys!

The preparation and service ran like clock-work due to enthusiastic Middle School plus Hugo (Lyon French exhange). Mrs Hebbert and Mrs Willis ensured that the kitchen crew were well watered and fed for their labours.

The girls were welcomed by Vadim, as smooth and genteel as ever - a true professional, offered a long stem rose and a glass. The Quiet room has been transformed by an eager crew under the direction of Matt S with excellent table decorations, lanterns and balloons. Everyone sat down to a fantastic dinner which went very smoothly. Tom thanked Mrs Willis and Mrs Hebbert for all their support.
