Mr. Day's suggestion that we(L6) all go to a play was met with general enthusiasm, the economic theme sounding odd but certainly not dissuading anyone from taking him up on it, though I’ll admit that I did feel somewhat sceptical as I am fairly economically challenged .
After half an hour of the performance, I had resettled my position and became absorbed in a play which would, by the end, have impressed me more than almost any other play I have seen. It was essentially about economics, but it was economics set in an engaging manner that even one entering the theatre with absolutely no idea about economics at any particular level would easily be able to follow along.
Throughout the play I was educated about economics and the factors behind the recession whilst also being exposed to a well planned, comic storyline and an incredibly theatrically complex production.
I’d say everyone on the trip enjoyed it, because even if you could inexplicably failed to be amused and intrigued by most of the play no-one could say no to the expertly choreographed light-sabre dance!
Thank you, Mr Day!
