The singing of the carols brought a bright and festive atmosphere to the house and its members. The sense of joy was tangible and the presence of Christmas spirits was eminent. We sang 3 different carols: “Hark the Herald Angels”, “Once in Royal David’s City”, “O come all ye faithful”. These songs withheld a lot of joy that sprung into each and every one of us as we sang the songs with heart. The sound we produced was not exactly opera standard, but sang to the best of our ability; which was enough to conjure up the cheerful feeling that is Christmas. The sixth form walked in singing in merry cheer, singing very well. At the end refreshments were served to the house and associates of the house. Mince pies and brownies were provided. Overall it was a joyful and festive evening, and we look forward to more singing at Break-up Supper.
Thank you to Mr Gladstone for organising us!
