Congratulations to our curling team who competed in the 2011 English Schools Curling Championships in Tunbridge Wells at the end of March.
Each afternoon, six teams competed, with four winners going through to the finals on Friday.

The Sevenoaks girls played well, coming third out of six teams on the afternoon they played. After three games they were lying second and looked to be winning their fourth game when their opponents managed to knock a Sevenoaks stone out of the way and win with their last stone! The team then played their final game against Weald of Kent, who were the eventual winners that day and went through to Friday’s finals.
At the end of the afternoon the umpires commented on how well Sevenoaks had played as a team, that they’d been very sporting and unlucky not to win their fourth match.
