Science Week (3–7 March 2014)
The success of the Sevenoaks School Science Week has been dramatic over the last five years with 5000 local students visiting in 2011, over 10,000 in 2012 and in excess of 12,000 for 2013. This success has been mainly due to word of mouth from teachers and students who have visited one of our shows, activities or lectures.
Titan the robot in 2010, our live link with the International Space Station in 2011 aeronautical engineering day in 2012 and our exciting Bloodhound SuperSonic Car for 2013 have set the bar high for activities for 2014, but we are pleased to say that we have again secured significant sponsorship from the Big Bang fair and Engineering UK, working closely with Stem Sussex and Brighton University.
Our event is one of the biggest Science fairs in the UK (hosted in a school) and has always been, and always will be completely free of charge to everyone that attends.
Most of our main events are shown on this website, along with dates and times, but if you should have any questions, please do get in touch with Graeme Lawrie, Head of Science and Technology, at Sevenoaks School: email@example.com.
Places are allocated on booking, and usually fill very quickly.
To book places for any Science Week activities, please book on our events booking website.
