Our World in Motion

Sevenoaks School held its third annual Science Week last week, 5-9 March. Sevenoaks welcomed 7000 guests, along with lecturers from the Science Museum, Reading University and The University of East Anglia.

On Friday a Rolls Royce Merlin spitfire engine, a model spitfire and a traction engine visited the school, while above the campus Aerostars Air Display team gave an air display with six Yak 50 aircrafts.

The theme of Our World in Motion was chosen to encompass many aspects of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), and key events included lectures by Kevin Warwick, Professor of Cybernetics at the University of Reading, Dr Richard Harvey, Senior lecturer of Computing Sciences at UEA, and Shadow Robotics.
