On Saturday 26 March Sevenoaks school's Intermediate Girls team competed in the ESSA National Cross Country finals, in the wonderfully scenic grounds of Alnwick Castle in Northumberland.

Ruth Bourne led the pack right from the start and was never pressured from there on. She crossed the finishing line in first place in a time of 9.27.

Tabitha Adams came 15th in a time of 10.24, while Georgina Barker and Hanna Jay, the remaining members of the team, battled hard throughout, with Sevenoaks School's Inter Girls team finishing 15th overall.
