Reunions in 2008

25th Reunion Dinner - 3 October

The twenty-fifth reunion for the class of 1983 was held at the school on Friday 3 October. The Head, Katy Ricks, welcomed the guests in the library and spoke of the great changes that had occurred during their time at the school: the opening of the Sackville Theatre, the School's 550th celebrations and the announcement that the school would become fully co-educational. Ben Hall's after dinner speech ranged from what it meant to be part of the Kent Assisted Places scheme to the pleasure of seeing John Guyatt sharing in the celebration. A very successful party then moved on to the Royal Oak.

40th Reunion Dinner - 12 September

On Friday 12 September 38 members of the classes of 1968 and 1969, staff and former staff gathered at the School for the first 40th reunion ever held.  It was easy to imagine these former students as mop haired, free spirited boys of the sixties who had witnessed the Beatles in Knole Park.  Mike Bolton, Undermaster, greeted them and Charles Rogers, OS, gave a graceful thank you.

Class of 1975 revisit the school - September

In September, Andrew Ingham brought together an eclectic selection of his classmates from 1975 who had no difficulty identifying the inner schoolboy and spent an extremely agreeable, often hilarious afternoon on the school campus and in Sevenoaks.

Founder's Day - 28 June

Sennockians, partners, children and parents came to Manor House on 28 June for a lunchtime drink and picnic on Founder'sDay.  Many took advantage of the programme of music in the morning and then attended the prize-giving.  Ron Terry (1937was the oldest OS present and Libby Mears (2006) and Amanda Ford (2006) were the youngest.

10th Reunion Dinner - 9 May

After much networking and posting on Facebook, the class of 1998 came back to school on Friday 9 May to celebrate their tenth reunion.  Following a welcome by Katy Ricks amd a tour of some new and some familiar landmarks given by John Walton, the Development Director, the guests gathered on Jockey's Platch for drinks.  A lively dinner for 100 including partners and members of staff followed.  One class member invited everyone to join him in London the next night.  It was an unforgettable weekend enjoyed by all and ending much too soon.
