The newly completed Performing Arts Centre was opened by Professor Barry Ife, the Principal of London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama, at an inaugural concert on Tuesday 27 April.  The building took 87 weeks to complete.  Donations, gifts-in-kind and other contributions raised a significant proportion of the £13 million required to finance the project.  Fund raising continues in order to reduce the amount contributed by the bank loan.

The building will provide facilities for music and drama, the ability to attract world class performers and many other exciting opportunities for the school, and on occasions for the local community.
