The PA organised a quiz night on Saturday 7th May 2011.
It was a very popular event, over 180 tickets were sold, and there were 20 teams competing.
Pete Kino, the staff representative on the PA, proved a consummate Quiz Master. He devised the quiz himself and organised a team of Lower Sixth pupils to help him collect in answer sheets, mark them and put up the scores after each round on the big screen. Some of his questions were, to say the least, rather tricky, and provoked a lot of discussion on some tables.
A fish and chip supper was provided by the Catering Manager, Becky Pogson, and her team, and that proved popular with attendees.
Thinking proved suprisingly thirsty work - the bar ran out of beer!! We had to restock from a local supermarket!!
The PA made a profit of £1,200 from this event which will be added to the treasure chest.
Altogether a very popular and enjoyable evening.
