Thomas Heatherwick (OS) has been awarded the prestigious London Design Medal. He recently designed the UK pavilion for the Shanghai 2010 Expo which attracted five million visitors. It won the Royal Institute of British Architects Lubetkin Prize. He is one of Britain’s leading designers.
