Lower Sixth Lyon Exchange

Share article:

Nine Lower Sixth students went to Lyon during half term on a Modern Languages exchange.

We enjoyed a full timetable with our exchanges, including an interesting museum exploring the link between the well-known puppet Guignol and First World War propaganda. We also visited the Musée des Confluences in which exhibits contained magical and curious artefacts that had been in secret rooms of Lyonnais nobility, and we explored the changes in technology and communication throughout the world.

We then stayed with our exchanges for five days of their holidays, and we did many exciting things, from skiing in Méribel to seeing all the lovely sights of Lyon and the surrounding areas. All the exchanges and their families were extremely accommodating and they made the whole experience in France fun and exciting. The exchange was amazing culturally and socially, and I would recommend it to anyone!
