Lou Warnett won the concerto competition at the Kent International Piano Courses for the second year running. He played the Ravel Concerto in G and was the youngest participant in the competition. The Concerto Prize was presented by conductor Craig Lawton. Lou also won the Baroque Festival Class, for which he played JS Bach's French Suite No 5, and the 20th Century Festival Class, with Ravel's Sonatine.

The Kent International Piano Courses have been held for some years and offer lessons, masterclasses, festival classes and a concerto competition to pianists of all ages and abilities. The courses run for three days and on the last day, selected participants get the chance to perform in a concert and a special guest is invited to perform too. The 2012 competition was held at Tonbridge School during the February half term.
