Links with Local Schools

We work closely with State and Independent schools in the Sevenoaks area.  In addition to regular games fixtures, we host a number of sports competitions and other schools often use our Sports Centre, athletics track and swimming pool.  We organise an annual music concert for Primary and Prep schools, hold Master classes and run workshops on Indonesian dance and Gamelan playing.

Every week around thirty students assist teachers in Primary schools as part of our community service programme.  Art and Science classes also take part at the school during this time.

For the last five years we have organised a week-long science Summer School for fifty Year 4 pupils who have been identified as being gifted and talented by their teachers.  They attend thirty different State Primary schools in the locality.

We are also in the second year of a major partnership project with Bradbourne, Wildernesse, Hextable, Swanley, Wilmington Boys’ Grammar and Wilmington Girls’ Grammar Schools and Wilmington Enterprise College.  This is funded by the DCFS as part of the Independent State School Partnership programme to encourage students to choose to study science, mathematics and modern foreign languages and go on to Higher Education to read these subjects.

Knole Academy

The school is proud to be acting as a Co-Sponsor with Kent County Council in supporting the exciting development of Knole Academy in Sevenoaks.  The lead sponsor is Gordon Phillips, CEO of Glen Care Group.

Knole Academy opened in September 2010 when The Wildernesse and The Bradbourne Schools merged.  A new building is planned for 2012-13 on The Wildernesse School site.
