Lily Elliott plays for England at UK School Games

Lily Elliott was part of the gold medal-winning U18 England Schools Girls hockey team this past week. They played at the UK School Games in Sheffield (1-4 September), which is designed to give young stars an experience of playing in an Olympic/Commonwealth Games-style multisport event.

They played against Scotland and won 3-1, against Ulster (drew 2-2) and then they beat Wales (2-1).

The school’s 1st team also put together some excellent performances on Saturday 3 September, showing how much they had benefitted from their recent South Africa tour experience. They beat Hurstpierpoint (who incidentally had their England player with them, unlike Sevenoaks) 3-1, and then City of London Freemen’s School 2-1. Lucy Lawson and Lizzie Seeley were each voted player of the match respectively. Both were excellent but all players contributed superbly.
