Congratulations to Liam van den Hoek, who represented Kent in the National Finals of the U14 AEGON County Cup in Nottingham (18-20 May).
The Kent U14 Boys team qualified for the finals of the AEGON County Cup with convincing wins over Devon, Somerset and Buckinghamshire. In the Finals Kent had a tough first round draw against Warwickshire, the eventual winners, and was unable to prevail. In the next round Kent battled on, but just lost to Hertfordshire. On the last day, Kent was finally able to dominate and won 6-0 against Durham and Cleveland.
Liam played number one doubles as well as singles in both stages of the County Cup. He won five of his six doubles matches as well as both singles matches. He goes on to play in the U14 AEGON National Clay Court Championships at Queenswood Tennis Club in June.
