Legacies

From time to time in its long history, Sevenoaks School has benefited from the generosity of parents, former pupils. Governors and friends. Through such support, the School has been able to take its place today as one of the leading co-educational schools in the country. Sevenoaks School does not have the rich endowments necessary to fund new developments which will enable us to keep pace with changing needs.

Leaving a legacy to Sevenoaks School Foundation can provide enormous satisfaction, knowing that your generosity will help the School to continue the full educational experience that so many children have enjoyed since 1432. A generous bequest would enable the School to further improve opportunities for our students and provide a lasting memorial to the donor. Legacy bequests are also free from inheritance tax.

A growing number of individuals have announced that they will remember Sevenoaks School in their Will and that they have amended their Will to reflect their intent. Ian Arrol (OS 1928-34) generously left £90,000 in his Will to Sevenoaks School Foundation. In February 2009 details were received of a legacy amounting to £149,000 from the estate of Mrs Frances Daniels, widow of Mr Harold Daniels.
