Junior Knole Run

With over 400 runners taking part in the Junior Knole Run on Friday, the competition was tough as ever. On a cold but bright day, we saw a fantastic performance from our junior squads with a series of top ten placements. The junior girls team finished first overall with Victoria Kern in first, Charlotte Bloodworth second, Sophie Fleming fourth and Elena Iasci 19th, earning Sevenoaks the top team spot. The second group of Sevenoaks girls also managed to clinch the ninth place in the team race.

In the boys’ race, an impressive run from Ben Catchpole earned him an individual fourth place and helped the Sevenoaks A team, with Arthur Goodwin, Matthew McLain and Charles Dunstan, to finish in ninth place. The Sevenoaks B team also ran well, finishing 24th.

Senior Knole Run

Over 180 runners took part in the senior race on Saturday, from 16 schools. In misty, muddy conditions, the Sevenoaks girls finished their 5km course in a brilliant fourth place overall, with Celia Foster in 17th place, closely followed by Georgina Hadden, Isabella Mandich, Eliza Muysken and Freya Aspinall.

Daniel Hadden led the senior boys over their course of 9.4km. He was followed by Max Malkinson in second place for Sevenoaks and Dominic Best third, with the Sevenoaks A team taking fifth place in the team race. Well done also to the Sevenoaks B team who came in tenth place, led by Philip Shvander.

A huge well done to every student who took part, and thank you to all staff involved in the extensive organisation of the event and to all schools who competed.

Sevenoaks School would also like to thank Lord Sackville and the Knole Estate for their permission to hold this event in Knole Park.
