The local district is divided into 13 areas; each of these has a representative. One way parents can keep in touch with the school is through their Area Rep.
Area Reps attend termly meetings with the Head and the Chairman of the PA. At these meetings they have the opportunity to raise any questions asked by the parents in their Area. They are also brought up to date with changes and plans for the school, as well as being informed about the various functions the PA is organising.
The Reps in turn hold meetings for the parents in their Area twice or three times a year to disseminate this information. These meetings are usually held in the evening over a coffee or glass of wine. Additionally, at these meetings the Reps often invite a teacher from the school as a guest speaker to help parents understand the demands of their subject better and discuss aspects of school life.
