It was a tense time as we gathered at the Swimming Pool with Mr. C on the mic. for the final official event of the inter-House Olympics 2010, but we were feeling hopeful especially with Simon De Vuyst on our side!  He swam a great couple of races in Butterfly and Backstroke and contributed to a commendable Relay race along with Mischa Snaije (also swimming Breaststroke), Karan Thakker (Freestyle), Nick Taki and Eddie Watkins.  There were fun events too, such as the Pyjama race (well done Eddie), the 'Mattress Push' and 'Mattress Climb', in which, it has to be said, smaller bodies had the advantage!  Coming joint second in the swimming, the tension rose as we awaited the overall final score - this turned into elation as it was announced that the winners of the 2010 Boarders' Olympics were the IC and the cup was presented to the proud team!  Well done to all the participants - we look forward to defending our title next year!
