Golf is a games option for Sixth Form pupils in all three terms with some students playing on Tuesday afternoons at Knole Park Golf Club or Wildernesse Golf Club, two of the best courses in Kent. The remaining golfers take lessons at the Driving Range at Hildenborough. Subject to sufficient numbers, it is possible to choose golf as a Saturday games option when students can practise at the Driving Range.

The school golf team enters the HMC Foursomes competition and has progressed to the regional semi-final twice in recent years. The team plays matches against other schools in the Michaelmas and Summer terms. The main event in the Summer term is the Smarden Bell match against Eastbourne, King’s Canterbury and Tonbridge, played at Chart Hills Golf Club. It is planned that a school outing to Deal Golf Club in April should become a regular feature.

In recent years, after school golf lessons have been available throughout the year for students of all ages at Hildenborough Driving Range. This option runs only if enough students commit to it.
