Score - 8-1 to Sevenoaks School !  (Goals scored by Nickols 4, Courteney 2, Lenzi, Pomello Chinaglia)

With the wind behind them Sevenoaks dominated the first half to such an extent that Alix Abrahams did not touch the ball. With nearly all the play taking place in the Marsh Academy half it was surprising that Sevenoaks only led 2-0 at half time; a combination of stalwart last ditch defending and good goalkeeping by Marsh Academy, over elaborate passing and some woeful finishing by Sevenoaks were responsible for only Katherine and Vittoria being on the score sheet at half time. With Marsh coming forward a little more in the second half (Alix finally touched the ball), Sevenoaks were able to create more clear-cut chances (the first half had seen many goalmouth scrambles) and the goals started to come. With the score at 7-0, some of our defenders clearly saw this as their opportunity to score and a break down the centre gave Marsh their consolation goal. Nevertheless, a good day for our goal tally! The quarter-final will be tougher.
