Fred Wooldridge a British UN worker, based at the UN Headquarters in Port au Prince as a senior political affairs and planning officer since 2007, was the first recorded Briton to die in the Haiti earthquake on 12 January.  He attended Sevenoaks School from 1982 - 85 in Sackville Middle.  The School received news of his death from another OS Nathalie Man, his colleague, also working for the UN in Haiti.  She did not receive any physical injuries.
