IB Results 2011

The Head, Mrs Katy Ricks, said, "We are again absolutely thrilled by our students' performance. Sevenoaks teachers and students worked extremely hard to achieve these outstanding results, which are a real credit to their aspirations and effort. We are particularly delighted that so many of our students will go on to their first choice university."

16 students achieved 45 points. 23 students obtained 44 points and 125 students achieved 40 points or above. The average diploma score was 39.9. No student achieved below 30 points. The world average is around 29.8 points. 97.9% of Higher Level subjects were graded 7/6/5 and 84.2% of Higher Level subjects were graded 7 or 6.

  • 16 students gained the maximum 45 points for the IB Diploma

(I)GCSE Results 2011

Sevenoaks School is celebrating its GCSE and IGCSE results. Just over 84.8% of the examinations taken by the 135 candidates were awarded A* or A grades. 19 students gained ten A*s or more each, and 95 students gained 9 or more A* or A grades. All but 31 results out of 1414 examinations were grade B or above.

All students took 3 separate IGCSE sciences and Maths. IGCSE is widely seen as a more challenging qualification than traditional GCSEs.

  • 53.6% of all examinations were graded A*
  • 84.8% of all examinations were graded A or A*
  • 19 students gained 10 or more A* grades
