Over 130 pupils have just successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions, camping and walking on the South Downs between Newhaven and Eastbourne.

Ten groups started on Sunday 19 June and a further 11 groups on 20 June. Over two days, each group cooked their supper,camped out for one night and walked about 16km on each day, including some steep hill climbs and tricky navigation. Despite appalling forecasts, the weather turned out to be much better than expected and everyone arrived at their final pick-up point in good time and in good spirits for their journey back to Sevenoaks.
