On Sunday 80 students from Year 10 and the Lower Sixth attended an intense extended day of Duke of Edinburgh Training in preparation for both the Silver and Gold Expeditions later this year. In total, 14 members of Sevenoaks staff and some personnel from external organisations including St John’s Ambulance were involved in providing training in Teamwork, Campcraft, Cooking, Navigation and First Aid across eight stations spread throughout Knole Park. Students enjoyed practising their First Aid skills with simulated injuries and hearing stories and tips from experienced mountaineers. Many thanks to all involved.
