Lower Sixth Geographer Claire Somerset has been Highly Commended in the 2012 Fitzwilliam College Land Economy Essay Competition.

She wrote a lucid and interesting essay on the urban geographer Jane Jacobs, whose significant and lasting impact in the field of urban planning ultimately led to the shaping of cities worldwide.

Claire will collect her prize and certificate in Cambridge on Saturday 28 April.
