Last term six Sevenoaks shooters were selected for the seven-strong Kent County Carey Salver team. The Kent team won the cup for the fourth year running.
The team comprises seven members, and the best five scores count. Congratulations to Serena Yuen, Victoria Redman, Ed Kim, Tanay Modi, Fran Vernon and Mike Jones, but especially to Sam Gearing of Dover & Ramsgate who produced the top score of the competition with 298 ex. 300.
Sevenoaks shooters have been at the forefront of county shooting in Kent for nearly a decade. The latest success in the Inter-Home Counties Carey Salver match proves the consistency of their high standards and top quality performances, beating all opposition for a fourth successive year. Sixteen Sevenoaks shooters have filled the 28 possible places during these four years, with only Sam Gearing making these ranks from another Kent club this year and last year.
Carey Salver results:
1st – Kent 1440
2nd – Surrey 1427
