Athletics has a strong tradition at Sevenoaks and with the excellent six lane tartan track, specialist coaching is offered in all the traditional track and field events.

Athletics at Sevenoaks is open to all students, regardless of a pupil’s age, ability or previous experience. Pupils can participate across a range of disciplines.  Each year the Under 14 and Under 13 teams compete in the Kent Preparatory Schools Championships, with numerous athletes going on to represent the Kent team at the Preparatory Schools’ National Championships.

Athletics is available in the summer term with teams involved in a full set of fixtures both home and away including competition aganinst Harrow, Eton and Tonbridge.  The school stages an Annual House Athletics Championships for Junior School and Middle School where all boys and girls compete for their tutor group

The school has links with Sevenoaks AC which have in turn strengthened the club as it continues to improve the levels of coaching, facilities and equipment.

 In 2009 and 2010, several Sevenoaks students represented Kent County in athletics.
